Scope Group expands Supervisory Board, appoints new Chairwoman

Scope Group has expanded its Supervisory Board to five members. French finance executive Inès de Dinechin joins as Chairwoman. Luxembourg insurance executive Chantal Schumacher also joins the board and will chair the newly established Audit Committee.

Scope Group - Europe's leading provider of independent credit ratings, ESG research and fund analysis – appointed Inès de Dinechin and Chantal Schumacher as new members of its Supervisory Board at its Annual General Meeting on 20 July 2021. These appointments will add to the Board expertise and substantial experience while reinforcing the European element of Scope`s governance. They also reflect Scope’s growing business and pan-European activities as well as its evolving shareholder structure.

Inès de Dinechin has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry as CEO of Aviva Investors France, CEO of Lyxor Asset Management and various senior positions at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Bank (SG CIB). She was also on the board of the French asset management association AFG for many years.

Inès de Dinechin: "Europe’s financial industry has waited for a counterweight to the US credit rating agencies for a long time. Chantal Schumacher has been with the Allianz Group for more than 20 years in various global management positions including the roles of Group CFO and member of the Board of Euler Hermes Group, CFO of Allianz Reinsurance and Global Head of Planning & Performance Management of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).

In becoming Chairwoman of Supervisory Board, Inès de Dinechin succeeds Georg Graf Waldersee, who was not available for a further term of office due to the extent of his involvement in other supervisory boards and significant board activities in an honorary capacity.  Shareholders, the Supervisory Board and the Management Board would like to thank Graf Waldersee for his long-standing commitment and important contribution to the development of Scope Group.
